My favorite game of all time is Ultima Online. one of the first Massive multiplayer online RPG.It was released by OSI in 1994 and still has over 5million players to this day. (12 years) This 2d game captured the idea of Life inside the game. Your character had 300 skills everything from swordfighting to tailoring. A non-volient person could play the game for years without killing a single creature.

During my 7 years of playing Ultima Online i learned more about game making and javascript writing than any other years of my life. Free Sphereserver game servers allowed a player to create his own server for Ultima and change things how he see fit. without only minor javascript knollege. Without this game i dont know if i would be in the SGD program today.

My favorite game today is Morrowind Oblivion. Morrowind series has allways been a single player RPG that captures the hearts and minds of millions each release. The open ended gameplay that allows you as the player to do anything good or evil. The newest release has accually the best AI of any game ive played. the NPC's accually live there life to the settings in which are set. A blacksmith will goto work make weapons and go home to sleep at night. (locking doors on his shop ect.).

My views on the "Artilect War", Personally I would be a Terran if the human race has evolved from Bacteria like he suggests over billions of years. I don’t see why we cant become something greater overtime without the need of Another life form of our creation. The planet isn’t on the edge of extinction and shouldn’t be for billions of years, So why the need for creating something to evolve from. Humanity as a whole in the past 70 years has advanced in so many wars (Walking the Moon, Medical, Science, Vehicles) I see science helping us out but the chance of something taking over our place in the universe, Even if created by us is not acceptable. I do understand the reasoning of the cosmists to a degree they see the new creature as a god. Most religions now deem self sacrifice worthy of there god. However i believe some cosmists would be under the impression that they could control the creatures of there creation. Personally i think that anything that much smarter than us humans would find a way around the limitations put infront of it. If the decision was left to me i believe AI should be researched to the point of Robots to help with tasks and dangerous jobs that humans are risked in doing. As a Terran anything greater than that might become our own undoing.
